Countertop Specialists Serving Toronto, GTA & Surrounding Areas

The countertop is the most used surface in any kitchen or bathroom. Every meal, every morning routine, every gathering in your home happens around it. It sets the visual tone of the space the moment anyone walks in. And for most homeowners, it is the one material decision that carries the most uncertainty before it is made and the most satisfaction after it is done right.

That uncertainty almost always comes from the same place. Picking a countertop from a small sample square is not the same as seeing it at full scale next to your actual cabinetry. The veining pattern that reads as subtle on a 6-inch tile can look entirely different spread across three metres of kitchen counter. A colour that appears neutral on a phone screen can shift dramatically under different lighting. The only way to make a countertop decision you will not second-guess is to see the material in person, at size, alongside the finishes it will sit next to.

Our showrooms in Markham at 50 Karachi Dr and Pickering at 955 Brock Rd are set up specifically for this. Countertop samples across every material we carry are available to view and compare in person before anything is ordered or cut. If you want to see full slab selection for your project, our Pickering showroom at 955 Brock Rd has full slabs of our countertop range available to view so you can see exactly what your finished surface will look like before the first measurement is taken.

We handle templating, fabrication coordination, and professional installation. Every standard edge profile is available including eased, beveled, bullnose, ogee, and waterfall, with custom profiles available on request. Most countertop projects move from quote to installation quickly, and for clients with specific timeline requirements, we have completed full installations in as little as 1 to 2 days.

How Countertop Installation Works With MD Kitchen

Most renovation anxiety comes from not knowing what to expect and when. This is the full process with nothing left out.

Step 1

Free Quote

Contact us by phone, email, or visit either showroom. Share your rough measurements and the material direction you have in mind. We provide a no-obligation fixed quote covering your specific project scope. Removal of your existing countertop and installation are quoted as two separate components so you know exactly what each part costs and can make the decision that suits your situation.

Step 2

Material Selection at the Showroom

Visit our Markham showroom at 50 Karachi Dr or our Pickering showroom at 955 Brock Rd to select your material in person. Countertop samples are available at both locations. Our Pickering showroom has full slabs of our countertop range available so you can see the complete piece and its natural variation before committing. This step is where most decisions get made with confidence.
Step 3

Templating

Our team visits your home to take precise measurements of the installation area. All sink cutouts, appliance openings, edge profiles, and installation requirements are confirmed at this stage before fabrication begins. Nothing is cut until every detail is verified on site.
Step 4

Fabrication and Installation

Your selected slab is cut to your exact specifications. Our installation team fits and finishes the countertop in your home. Drop cloths are placed, all work is done with care for your space, and the area is left clean after installation. Joints are cut and finished to a precise standard.
Step 5

Final Review

We walk through the finished installation with you before we leave. Every joint, edge, and cutout is reviewed. Quartz installations are covered by our lifetime warranty from this point forward.

Countertop Pricing in Toronto, GTA & Surrounding Areas

Countertop pricing depends on the material, slab selection, thickness, edge profile, number of cutouts, and the overall project scope. Removal of an existing countertop and installation are priced as two separate components in every quote, so you see exactly what each part of the project costs and can make the right decision for your situation.

Starting prices reflect entry-level slabs in each material category. Premium slabs, complex edge profiles, and larger project sizes adjust the final price. The most accurate way to understand what your specific project costs is a free quote from our team based on your measurements and material selection.

Final pricing varies based on design, measurements, and material selection. MD Kitchen provides a fixed written quote after your showroom visit.

Why Homeowners Across the GTA Choose MD Kitchen for Their Countertops

Countertops are one of the most frequently completed services at MD Kitchen, and the reasons homeowners return, refer, and leave strong reviews are consistent across every project we complete.

Competitive pricing is the most commonly cited reason GTA homeowners choose us over other countertop suppliers. Homeowners who compare before calling regularly confirm our pricing is the most competitive they found, often by a significant margin. We give honest quotes based on the actual scope of your project, not an artificially low number that adjusts after templating.

Most of our quartz countertops which we supply and install are backed by a lifetime warranty. This is our commitment to the material and to the standard of installation behind it.

The process from quote to installed countertop moves quickly. Many projects are measured, coordinated, and installed within days. For clients working to a specific deadline, we accommodate fast-track timelines where possible, and have completed full installations in 1 to 2 days for clients who need it.

Our installation teams have completed countertop projects across every housing type in Toronto and the GTA. Every joint, cutout, and edge is finished to a standard our clients notice and mention specifically in their reviews. One homeowner noted a joint so precise they could not locate it without looking closely. That standard applies to every project regardless of scope.

You do not choose your countertop from a brochure or a digital render. You visit our showroom, see the material in person, compare options next to each other under real lighting, and select what goes into your home before a single measurement is taken. This step is what separates a decision you are confident in from one you are hoping works out.

Frequently Asked Questions

Countertop Supply and Installation FAQ — Toronto, GTA & Surrounding Areas Homeowners Ask Us

Countertop costs in Toronto and the GTA start from $39 per sq ft for quartz and vary based on the material selected, the size of the project, the edge profile chosen, and the number of cutouts required. Bathroom vanity countertops are typically smaller in scope and priced accordingly. MD Kitchen provides a fixed written quote after your showroom visit and template measurement so the exact cost of your specific project is confirmed before any work begins.

Most countertop projects move from templating to completed installation within days. For straightforward replacement projects with standard material selections, the turnaround is fast. For clients with specific deadlines, we accommodate urgent timelines where possible and have completed full installations in as little as 1 to 2 days. Complex projects involving multiple rooms, custom profiles, or specialty natural stone may take longer. Your timeline is confirmed before you commit to the project.

No, but you can if you prefer. Removal and installation are quoted as two separate components. If you choose to remove the existing countertop yourself before our team arrives, your quote reflects installation only. If you would like our team to handle removal, that is included in the scope at the quoted price. Either option works and the choice is entirely yours.

Quartz and quartzite are two entirely different materials. Quartz is an engineered stone manufactured from crushed quartz crystals bound with resin. It is non-porous, requires no sealing, is consistent in appearance across the slab, and is available in a wide range of colours and patterns including designs that replicate natural marble. Quartzite is a natural stone formed from sandstone under intense underground heat and pressure over geological time.

It has a depth and visual character that engineered materials cannot replicate, is harder and denser than granite, and is highly heat resistant. Quartzite is porous and requires periodic sealing. If you want a low-maintenance surface that performs consistently over many years, quartz is the stronger practical choice for most kitchens. If you want genuine natural stone character with outstanding durability, quartzite is worth the consideration.

Yes. Most of our quartz countertops that we supply and install are backed by a lifetime warranty. This is our commitment to the quality of both the material and the installation behind it.

Both our Markham showroom at 50 Karachi Dr and our Pickering showroom at 955 Brock Rd have countertop samples available to view in person. Our Pickering showroom at 955 Brock Rd has full slabs of our countertop range on hand so you can see the complete material and its natural variation before selecting. Walk-ins are welcome at both locations during showroom hours. Free parking is available at both addresses.

Yes. Countertop replacement as a standalone service is straightforward and one of the most common projects we complete. We handle the full scope from template measurement through to installation. If you want to keep your existing cabinets, flooring, and layout entirely as they are and update only the countertop surface, that is a clean, focused project that causes minimal disruption to your kitchen or bathroom.

Standard edge profiles available include eased, beveled, bullnose, half bullnose, ogee, and waterfall. Custom profiles are available on request. Edge selection is made at the showroom during your material visit. Our team can show you physical edge profile samples so you can see and feel each option before deciding.
